"I like to experiment with different processes and I work intuitively treating printmaking more like a painting process. This often involves “in the moment” response to mark-making and use of colour. I am interested in developing a lively, animated surface. I strive to provide atmosphere and presence. The work often reflects an interest in partially hidden forms, worn surfaces, marks made by human activity as well as natural forms.
"Printmaking offers a different way of working to painting, but both processes feed off one another. I particularly enjoy the whole technical side of printmaking and experimentation with both photographic and hands-on processes. I often work in monoprint or in variations rather than editions. I love learning new processes and have the aim of combining different print processes in single images in the future."
