  • Workshops

Our workshops are casual, fun and simple introductions to printmaking. Across a wide range of techniques, these are perfect for beginners or those looking to experiment in an easy way.

    • Family Print Club - These Sunday Funday sessions are designed for different generations to share an experience , explore some printmaking techniques and have some fun!
    • Pick 'n' Mix Workshops - Each evening explores a different type of process, often using lo-tech and immediate techniques so you can explore, create, experiment, have fun and learn along the way.
    • Taster Workshops - These short, one day workshops are perfect for exploring a specific technique and seeing how the print studio works. A lot of the preparation is done for you to streamline the process and ensure you get a finished print at the end of the day.
    • Drink and Print - This event is a great opportunity to visit the studio, socialise and get inspired.
    • Bespoke Workshops - Group printing workshops are ideal for team-builiding days, birthday celebrations, and more.

    Classes

Our classes offer an opportunity to learn about printmaking techniques in a more structured way, often with defined learning objectives. Completion of most of our courses means you can apply for 3 months' free membership (Associate Membership) in our studio to keep trying out your new skills!

    • Weekend and Evening Courses - these series of classes are our most popular - looking at a wide variety of different printmaking techniques, these are ideal for both beginners and printmakers looking to learn something new.  These courses are the most common access route for new members in the studio.
    • Expanded Practice - these three-day or four-day courses provide a further opportunity to develop your skills across a wide variety of printmaking techniques. These are suitable for beginners as well as those who are looking to refresh their knowledge. We also run specialist courses in the summer which dive into specific themes or techniques in more detail.
    • Developer Classes - these are advanced development classes led by a tutor, generally for those with some printmaking experience to try out 'next level' techniques.
    • Refresher Classes - for those wanting to join the printmaking studio and have tried printmaking before, these classes are perfect for reconnecting with your printmaking technique of choice. Contact the studio team to book.

    Sessions

Whether you're a fully fledged Studio Member or an Associate Member getting used to the studio for the first time, we can offer support with self-led studio time in a number of ways.

    • Induction Sessions - for new members to be inducted into the studio, learning about how it all works from our studio team. Contact the studio team to book.
    • Improver Sessions/Follow-Up Classes - these are suited for those who have completed one of our courses and need some extra support to develop what you've learnt into your own practice. Work in the print studio with the support of a tutor to develop your confidence.
    • Normal sessions (Studio Members Only) - we are also always on hand to help whenever you're working in the studio!

"I enjoyed the course very much, Jess explained the techniques very clearly and was generous with her knowledge on all the tasks we had the chance to explore. I am intending to return to the studio either to try out a different area of printmaking or just to practice the skills i learned over the weekend. Excellent course.
