Biography

BIOGRAPHY

 

Lesley Logue's practice stems from her training as a painter and printmaker, and has extended to include working with photography, moving image and sculpture. She has over 30 years' experience of working in print and expanded forms of print practice. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.

 

Her research is driven by an interest in specific individuals and communities, their changing states and the subsequent impact on personal lives and histories. Her work references her personal interests in historic locations and activities such as archery, often focusing on damage and repair.

 

Recent group exhibitions include Edinburgh Printmakers' Kinship, the RSA Annual ExhibitionStreet Level Photoworks Open, the RA Summer Exhibition, and a solo exhibition Traces of Home, which was shown as part of IMPACT 12 Multidisciplinary Printmaking Conference in Bristol, 2022.

 

She has taken part in residencies, at ArToll in Germany, Hospitalfield in Arbroath and Eastbury Manor in London. More recently she was awarded a Glass Lab Scholarship, exploring the alchemy of glass, which took place at the Glass Foundry in the Cotswolds.
