Toby Paterson
BIOGRAPHY
Born and based in Glasgow, Toby Paterson studied at Glasgow School of Art in the 90s. In 2002 he won the Beck's Futures Prize, and was commissioned by BBC Scotland to install a work outside their headquarters in Glasgow.
Paterson's work is influenced by a physical place and its history, considering how a place came to be as it is today - he is particularly interested in the impact of post-war Britain.
In addition to prints, he has made drawings, paintings and sculptures that prompt reflection on the viewer's surrounding environment. His work has been exhibited in Scotland, France, Switzerland, Portugal, London and the Netherlands.
