BIOGRAPHY
Chad McCail, who was born in Manchester and grew up in Edinburgh, focuses on the links between sexual repression, violence and totalitarian obedience. These themes are explored through a harmonious world in which repression and violence are absent, influenced by illustrations for children's books in a simple manner.
McCail graduated in English at the University of Kent, and then in Fine Art at Goldsmith's College. His shows include exhibitions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Sunderland, Switzerland, and the USA.
