My painting, and subsequent print, expresses the emotion of love between two people. To achieve this, I incorporated elements of abstraction within a basic figurative form, using simple colours and brushstrokes. To emphasise the depth of emotion I avoided minute details that could be distracting. My approach is to experiment with new forms of figurative painting to try to convey a profound artistic pleasure to the viewer and to make their heart sing.
