During her residency at Cork Printmakers, Anastasiia was inspired by the nature in Ireland, its seashore and the beauty of seashells which is reflected in her etchings. She also reflected on what was lost and left behind in Ukraine.
Anastasiia also facilitated two workshops with Niche Knocknaheeny (Niche Health Project Cork), a community health initative, to explore dry point etching.

Anastasiia Melnikova-Blidar was born in 1989 in the city of Kyiv. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv in 2013, entering the National Union of Artists in Ukraine in the same year. Recent showcases of her work include a solo exhibition at Stargard Library (Poland) in 2017 and participating in the VII Międzynarodowe Biennale Ekslibrisu at Boguszów-Gorce (Poland).
