During his residency at Cork Printmakers, Diaa worked on creating an imaginary landscape of oriental architecture, a deconstructive form which is connected by a pattern of repitition to one word in Arabic "فيك " - Kayefa, translated to English as "How".
Diaa also facilitated two workshops with Direct Provision Clonakilty Lodge Afterschool Group on calligraphy.

Diaa Lagan is multidisciplinary artist, Diaa`s practice is known for metaphorical narratives rooted in mythology and history. Alongside these traditional themes, Lagan also engages with contemporary socio-political issues, making his work relevant and thought-provoking in today’s global context. Lagan’s research practice is deeply attuned to the present moment, reflecting the ongoing upheaval of post-modernity, and the resulting unrest on a global scale.
