Last year we had the pleasure of hosting Eleanor Tucker's book launch: Thanks For Sharing. This helpful and entertaining book sets out a bold vision of how sustainable sharing can save us money, and lead to a happier future. It was a delight to host this event, whose values align with our own.
Eleanor was looking for a venue to share the book with close friends as well as the wider community. She also wanted to showcase some of the sharing economy apps featured in the book. She was delighted to find that our venue's flexible layout options allowed her to tailor the event for this unique format.
The EP events team really supported me throughout the planning process, offering guidance on logistics, refreshments, promotion, and made sure that every aspect of the event ran smoothly.
For attendees, I wanted to create a memorable and fun evening that would not only showcase my book but also immerse them in its themes. This definitely happened - everyone loved it and the feedback received from guests was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone was impressed with the venue and felt it was perfect for the event. It was also a beautiful sunny evening which helped!
The team took the time to understand my idea for the event. Miriam was great to deal with, thoughtful and always available if I needed her. Everything ran like clockwork.
Without hesitation, I would recommend the Edinburgh Printmakers as a venue for book launches - or any events really. The combination of a unique and versatile space, coupled with the expertise and support of the friendly EP events team, makes it an ideal choice. The venue's beautiful architecture and interior, coupled with its central location (and proximity to Haymarket station), makes it pretty much perfect. I can't wait to have my next book launch there!
