Edinburgh Printmakers is sorry to announce that its CEO, Shân Edwards, is to leave the organisation after nearly three and a half years.
Shân joined Edinburgh Printmakers in February 2018, leading the delivery of the transformational £11 million capital development project and oversaw the highly successful launch of Castle Mills in April 2019. Under Shân’s leadership, the new building and opening programmes demonstrated the potential of Edinburgh Printmakers to reach new audiences in its new home, and to support artists and the wider creative industries as major hub of national significance. Throughout a year of challenging disruption caused by the Covid 19 Pandemic, Shân has worked closely with the board, staff, members and major stakeholders to secure the future of Edinburgh Printmakers, and to ensure that the organization will emerge strongly from this challenging period.
The Trustees wish her every success as she pursues her career.
The Trustees of Edinburgh Printmakers have commenced their search for Shân’s successor and are delighted to announce that they have appointed Janet Archer, as interim CEO.
Janet, a highly experienced leader in the creative and cultural sector, is currently supporting ‘The New Real’ initiative at the Edinburgh Futures Institute. At Edinburgh Printmakers, she will work alongside the Board and the leadership team over the coming months at Castle Mills to ensure that the organisation is able to maintain its programme of change and development as it emerges from the disruptive challenges of the last 18 months.
