Future Flow: Project Launch

Edinburgh Printmakers and Flow India launch a learning programme for 20 young curators from India and Scotland

We are delighted to announce the launch of Future Flow, a cross-cultural curatorial research project and exhibition. The project was developed in partnership with Flow India this project will engage 20 young people from India and Scotland in a development opportunity that will see them explore their shared history and co-curate an innovative print exhibition to be shown in New Dehli and Ahmedabed in 2022.

 

“I have always believed that engaging with culture plays a pivotal role in our sense making of this world and couldn't be more delighted when Flow India had the opportunity to visualise a creative fellowship at the intersection of arts and heritage with the wonderful folks at Edinburgh Printmakers.” Arundhati Mitter, Director of Flow India said upon the launch of the project. “In today’s times international connections feel even more important than ever” said Janet Archer, CEO of Edinburgh Printmakers, “I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved in helping make Future Flow happen, and to opening the doors of the arts industry to a new set of decision makers”.

 

We are currently seeking young people from both India and Scotland who are interested in working in the art to participate in this programme. More information on the programme, as well as details on how to apply can be found here. The deadline for applications is midnight BST Sun 25th April | 5.30am IST Mon 26 April. 

 

Future Flow has been developed by Edinburgh Printmakers and Flow India working with the National Institute of Design, India, Edinburgh College of Art and the Centre for Research Collections at the University of EdinburghEdinburgh Napier University, and Queen Margaret University.
