The Toolkit charts the learning journey facilitated by Future Flow, a year-long curatorial learning fellowship programme developed by Edinburgh Printmakers and Flow India and supported by the British Council. The Toolkit offers design support for online digital curatorial fellowships, outlining the framework adopted by the programme and key steps undertaken in its delivery.
Future Flow brought together 20 young curators from Scotland and India to develop new skills through co-curating and producing an exciting group print exhibition ‘From Where I Stand’ reflecting on Scotland and India’s past, present and future relationships. The 7 international artists featured are Claire Barclay, Nishi Chodimella, Anupa Gardner, Sushanta Guha, Sonia Mehra Chawla, Shiva Nallaperumal and Swapnaa Tamhane.
To capture the learning from the project, document its successes and identify opportunities for development, the toolkit was developed. The aim of the toolkit is to serve as a design-support for other fellowships working in and with a similar domain and demographic.
It outlines the framework adopted by the Future Flow programme including adaptations that felt necessary upon reflection. It includes information on the fellowship structure, including key learning sessions and discussion points, and explores both the thematic highlights as well as the Fellows’ experience andengagement as a cohort.
