Our exhibitions, which are free to visit, will also be open 10am-6pm:
Robert Powell: Hall of Hours running from 1 August to 2 November 2025, is a multimedia exhibition exploring time through intricate prints, sculpture, sound installations, and animation, inspired by medieval Books of Hours. The centrepiece is a 4.5-metre-high, non-numerical clock adorned with over 1,000 characters, depicting time as an experiential concept rather than a measured one. More information can be seen in the Viewing Room.
Aqsa Arif: Raindrops of Rani which is running from 1 August to 2 November 2025 and is a multimedia installation exploring fractured identity, displacement, and cultural synthesis through South Asian folklore and the lens of her family's UK asylum experience. The exhibition features a short film, textile screenprints, and sculptural braided forms, reimagining the Punjabi folk tragedy Heer Ranjha to depict a displaced mother and daughter navigating assimilation in a Glasgow council flat. Learn more about this exhibition in the Viewing Room.
900 Stories in Print: An exhibition celebrating Edinburgh Printmakers' project as part of the city's Edinburgh 900 celebrations. A placemaking initiative, funded by the City of Edinburgh Council, dedicated to collecting and publishing 900 personal stories, memories, and anecdotes from communities in Fountainbridge and western Edinburgh. Over the past year, we have offered free weekly creative workshops, creating a welcoming environment for local people to come together, use various creative methods, and share their personal histories, aspirations, and connections to the Fountainbridge area and west Edinburgh.
