Exhibition Preview: Print Culture: Castle Mills Members Show 6
Edinburgh Printmakers warmly invites you to the launch of the upcoming exhibition Print Culture: Castle Mills Members Show 6.
Thursday 12 November
6:30-8:30pm
Each year, Edinburgh Printmakers Studio Members are invited to respond to a collective theme, encouraging artist members to create new work for the show. This year’s theme - Print Culture - reflects the role of print within everyday life, visual culture and artistic practice. These include reflections on the history and future of print processes, the influence of digital technologies, activism, reproduction, or the presence of print in public and domestic spaces.
Spanning a range of mediums, including screenprinting, lithography, etching, relief and 3D mixed-media pieces, the exhibition includes work by 117 Studio Members.
This event is free, and all are welcome. We encourage booking online in advance via the link below. Availability on the evening will be dependent on capacity, with refreshments served on arrival. Edinburgh Printmakers' onsite cafe KUBA will operate a paid bar following this.
There will be a surprise raffle with prizes generously donated from local businesses.
We would like to thank Ken Duffy, former Director of Edinburgh Printmakers, as the guest expert advisor on our selection panel this year.
We would also like to thank Daler Rowney for sponsoring a prize for this exhibition.
Edinburgh Printmakers' exhibition programme is supported by Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funding, City of Edinburgh Council’s Strategic Partnership Funding, Garfield Weston Foundation, and The Turtleton Charitable Trust.
