My current work takes images from...This is one of the last prints I made in the studio at Edinburgh Printmakers before Covid lockdown commenced at the end of March. My current work takes images from the natural world as a starting point, in particular grasses, leaves and flowers. The Toyobo process is just one step in a series of abstractions which occur from image editing, to plate making and inking up. The end result is a significant departure from the original scented rose, but for me no less beautiful. This print is the first in an edition of 5 plus 1 artist's proof, and is printed on Hahnemühle Natural etching paper.
