Kevin Marringer

Dr Kevin Maringer is a scientist specialising in viral diseases that cause major outbreaks and pandemics, particularly those impacting the Global South. They have worked in universities, teaching hospitals and publicly funded research institutes in and around London and New York, and have extensive experience of funding ecosystems, data analysis, international collaboration, adult education, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. Their governance experience includes four years at the Microbiology Society. Kevin has a long track record in widening participation and equality, diversity and inclusion, most recently founding ND in Micro, a global network increasing visibility and support for neurodivergent microbiologists. Kevin pulled their first print in 2019 and joined Edinburgh Printmakers as an artist member in 2024; they joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2026.
