Having tried different printing techniques using mostly digital media, I decided to try and make more 'painterly' prints and screen printing seemed the best medium to achieve this. Inspiration came from an English artist and printmaker, Rosemary Vanns, who uses a lot of collage in her printing and painting, often using old monoprints in her work. For this print I used monoprints, 'abstract' digital images and painted acetates. The muted colours were used to reflect a dull autumn day on the Crinan Canal.
