Rona MacLean
BIOGRAPHY
Rona MacLean grew up on Loch Lomond side and she is now based in Edinburgh and Speyside. She has been a member of Edinburgh Printmakers for more than fifteen years.
She mainly produces screenprints, etchings, and mezzotints. Her subject matter is varied but tends to feature elements of the natural world in all its forms. She has an enduring love of trees. She considers their majestic silhouettes, particularly in winter, are very compelling and a gift to a printmaker.
She shares a studio at Beaverhall Studios, Edinburgh and is a member of The Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland. She exhibits regularly in and around Edinburgh. Her work has been shown in several open exhibitions including the Royal Scottish Academy, Society of Scottish Artists, and the Paisley Art Institute.
