Rona MacLean
BIOGRAPHY
I grew up on Loch Lomond side and am now based in Edinburgh and Speyside. I have been a member of Edinburgh Printmakers for more than fifteen years.
I mainly produce screen prints, etchings, and mezzotints. My subject matter is varied but tends to feature elements of the natural world in all its forms. I have an enduring love of trees. Their majestic silhouettes, particularly in winter, are very compelling and a gift to a printmaker.
I share a studio at Beaverhall Studios, Edinburgh and am a member of The Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland. I exhibit regularly in and around Edinburgh. My work has been shown in several open exhibitions including the Royal Scottish Academy, Society of Scottish Artists, and the Paisley Art Institute.
