BIOGRAPHY

 

Victoria Filimonova is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in analogue and experimental photography, artist books and printmaking.  She uses nature and its elements as allegories for human traits and conditions, and draws parallels between human and non-human worlds . 
 
Victoria holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Photography and is a receiver of the Graduate Showcase awards from Street Level Photoworks and Visual Arts Scotland. In 2025 her work has been shortlisted for the ING Discerning Eye Prize and Scottish Arts Trust Landscape Award. Two of her projects received Honourable mention at the International Photography Awards (2024) in Analogue Fine Art category.
