In 2009 Kate Downie made two lithographs at Edinburgh Printmakers with the support of printer Alastair Clark: Long Light from the Late Train and Ferry Down the Forth.
Long Light from the Late Train records a late afternoon glimpse westwards towards the iconic bridges. Downie was heading from Edinburgh to Burntisland station when she was inspired to capture this view of the small string of towns that edge the north shore of the Forth Estuary.
