I usually work on several projects at any given time that deal with a range of concepts. I avoid letting the concept be the core of the image. I see it as more of a back story that can be read into but isn’t a requirement to understand the image. The core of each image is the practice and work put into it. So my personal practice is forever evolving, expanding, development and flux.
At the moment I am most interested with the themes of space/time, identity, isolation and mental health. I am currently working with photography and printmaking, in particular camera-less photography, Cliche Verre and Photo Plate Lithography. I combine the two mediums by using images created on thin perspex sheets and collage. I then layer these over and expose them onto colour and b&w film negatives. The negatives are either then printed as Lithographs, darkroom or digital prints.
