Alex Payne

Biography

BIOGRAPHY

 
Alex Payne is a PhD researcher focusing on the role of climate change as a driver of inter-ethnic conflict in the Arctic, particularly Greenland and Sapmi. As such, his practice is informed by an interest in the natural world and its ever changing relationship with human perception.
 
Currently based at the University of Edinburgh, Alex previously studied his Masters in Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, he has taken diploma courses in art history with the Utrecht University, Freie Universitat Berlin, and the Dutch University Institute for Art History in Florence.
