Biography

BIOGRAPHY

 

Joanna Robson is a freelance illustrator and artist, with a special interest in artists’ books.

 

Joanna began making book art during her time studying at University College Falmouth.  Since graduating she has continued to create artists’ books, as she find them one of the most versatile mediums in which to tell stories.

 

She studied Modern History at the University of St Andrews before going on to complete a MA in Authorial Illustration at University College Falmouth.  In 2016 she was awarded a grant by the Hope Scott Trust to complete her book A Knavish Lad and in 2019 was shortlisted for the Northern Illustration Prize. 


Over recent years she has worked with a number of clients including the National Library of Scotland, Glasgow University, Lung Ha Theatre Company, Typewronger Books and SandvikFest.  She currently lives and works in Edinburgh.
