Edinburgh Printmakers launched a new print edition by Victoria Crowe in December 2021. A few editions of the print are still available for purchase thorugh our online shop or in person at Castle Mills.

Crowe created the print at Edinburgh Printmakers in Autumn 2021 from drawings made during two earlier residencies at the artist’s studios at Dumfries House.

“I made many drawings of the 350-year-old sycamore within the estate. Part of the Garden’s restoration program had been remedial work to ensure the tree's survival... it’s a wonderful surviving specimen seen high against the sky.”

The five colour print combines woodblock, screenprint and lithograph to create a delicately layered print, produced by Alastair Clark as an edition of 50 prints. All prints are signed and numbered by the artist.
