Yasmeen Khan
"Printmaking matters to me because I find these techniques allow me to produce ambiguous images that often rely on texture and colour for impact. For me this is the most expressive way I know to do what I wish to do: to test the boundaries between representation and abstraction in order to evoke atmosphere and emotion."
BIOGRAPHY
Yasmeen Khan is an Edinburgh-based printmaker, illustrator and writer. In 2016 she graduated with distinction from Falmouth University's MA in Illustration (Authorial Practice), on which she wrote and illustrated a book of haunting ghost stories. Since then, she's been continuing to develop her printmaking practice, using mainly monotype, etching, and mezzotint.
