Silke Heuer
My interest in printmaking began during studying for a degree in jewellery and silversmithing at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London and I now work in both disciplines.
I develop my prints combining different etching techniques and often use multiple plates. Modernism is a continuous inspiration and influence, the subject matter abstraction, interior spaces and still life. Despite the visible energy of mark making there is a sense of stillness in my work.
