Frank Pottinger
'There is a vernacular theme in my work and it is one in which I allow the widest possible interpretation of the word. In that respect I have a notion that in landscape, music, artefacts and dialect speech, categories however familiar, there exist subtle affinities of form. The forms which are developed from those connections I attempt to express in sculptures and prints, and the finished work may sometimes involve both.'
