  • Edinburgh Printmakers Board are directors of the Limited Company, Trustees of the Charity, and Members. We are a two-tier organisation with additional Members who are equivalent to shareholders in a company limited by shares in that they are entitled to vote at General Meetings typically on items such as: Board appointments and changes to the Articles of Association. They also have the right to receive the annual report and accounts.

     

    The Directors of the company and Trustees of the charity are responsible for overseeing the work of the organisation, and monitoring its finances and must ensure the organisation fulfils its objectives. They are entitled to vote at Board meetings. They are often elected at the AGM but can be appointed by the Board at any time. Directors serve for 3-year terms with the option to renew up to 9 years at the Board’s discretion.

     

    Edinburgh Printmakers Board is currently made up of the following individuals:

    • Mungo Campbell (Interim Chair) Mungo retired as Deputy Director of The Hunterian, at the University of Glasgow in April 2024. Prior to that, he was a curator at the National Galleries of Scotland. He served on the Visual Art Committee of the Scottish Arts Council and was formerly a board member of the Scottish Museums Council and SCRAN. At The Hunterian, Mungo curated Allan Ramsay: Portraits of the Enlightenment exhibition in 2013, and coedited William Hunter and the Anatomy of the Modern Museum (YUP 2018) accompanying the international touring exhibition in collaboration with the Yale Center for British Art. He was Board Chair of Edinburgh Printmakers from 2018 to 2024 and is currently Chair of the Scottish Fisheries Museum.

      Mungo Campbell 

      (Interim Chair)

      Mungo retired as Deputy Director of The Hunterian, at the University of Glasgow in April 2024. Prior to that, he was a curator at the National Galleries of Scotland. He served on the Visual Art Committee of the Scottish Arts Council and was formerly a board member of the Scottish Museums Council and SCRAN. At The Hunterian, Mungo curated Allan Ramsay: Portraits of the Enlightenment exhibition in 2013, and coedited William Hunter and the Anatomy of the Modern Museum (YUP 2018) accompanying the international touring exhibition in collaboration with the Yale Center for British Art. He was Board Chair of Edinburgh Printmakers from 2018 to 2024 and is currently Chair of the Scottish Fisheries Museum.

    • Hugo Barclay Hugo is a leader with over a decade of experience at the cross section of visual arts and commerce. He is currently the UK Fair Director at Affordable Art Fair overseeing the execution of three London art fairs, championing its community of 200+ galleries and their represented artists. His previous experience includes managing the gallery programme at London Art Fair, among previous roles at the largest online art platform Artsy.net and art advisories. He has an in depth understanding of the visual arts ecosystem, his drive lies in empowering living artists, the institutions supporting them. He joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2024.

      Hugo Barclay

    • Hannah Brocklehurst Hannah is Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Galleries of Scotland where she specialises in historic art. She is a member of the UK Print Curator’s Forum and the Scottish Women Artists Research Network. In recent years she has been part of the major capital project and redisplay, ‘Celebrating Scotland's Art’. Her exhibitions include ‘Pin-Ups: Toulouse-Lautrec and the Art of Celebrity’ and ‘The Printmaker's Art: Rembrandt to Rego’. Her work focuses on widening physical and online access to collections, collections care, interpretation, research, and environmental engagement and response. Hannah has a Masters in History of Art from University of Glasgow and a Postgraduate Masters in Museum Studies from University of Leicester, specialising in Museums and Social Inclusion. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers board in 2024.

    • Arabella Gilchrist Arabella has led and built large multi-discipline teams including for media companies like STAR TV, SKY, BBC, Red Bee Media and TVNZ, The National Lottery and in partnership with The National Lottery Funding Distributors, Fever Tree, LadBible, Vice and ITV as well as a charity start-up that punched above its weight: Malaria No More UK. Now, she is pursuing a portfolio of different endeavours including advising Boards and Senior Leadership Teams on how to drive impact, effectiveness, brand salience and engaged people; on in-housing their creative and production capability, creative strategy and pitching and leading cultural change. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2024.

      Arabella Gilchrist

    • Paul Fieldsend Paul is a research analyst with over 25 years industry experience including six years as an exploration geologist in the UK and the Netherlands, and 15 years as an energy analyst at Wood Mackenzie in Edinburgh. More recently, Paul employed his skills as a non-executive investor director at Edinburgh based music technology company, Skoogmusic. He is an experienced angel investor in Scottish start-ups. Since 2015, Paul has been developing his printmaking skills at Edinburgh Printmakers where he employs photography as the starting point for his practice. He joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2020.

      Paul Fieldsend

    • Smita Kheria Dr Smita Kheria is a Senior Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at Edinburgh Law School, the University of Edinburgh. She studied at the University of Buckingham (LLB (Hons)), the University of Cambridge (LLM), and at Queen's University Belfast (PhD). Her areas of teaching and research expertise are copyright and related rights, creative practices, visual arts, and new technologies. Through her academic work and knowledge-exchange activities, Smita champions artists’ rights and interests in education, research, practice, and policy. She was a board member of the Scottish Documentary Institute (2017-20) and is a trustee and Vice-Chair of the Socio-legal Studies Association. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2024.

      Smita Kheria

      Dr Smita Kheria is a Senior Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at Edinburgh Law School, the University of Edinburgh.     • John Lacey John is a Chartered Accountant, managing a range of regulatory and financial statement audits in KPMG’s financial services practice. Primarily, he works with investment managers to assess their governance and controls in safeguarding their clients’ money and assets, reporting breaches to the FCA and deficiencies to executive committees. John studied French and Economics at Glasgow University, including a year studying fashion in Quebec and language in France. John joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2025.

    • Anja Sallinger-Carsley With a lifelong passion for art and printmaking technologies, Anja has been a full member of Edinburgh Printmakers for 2 years, experimenting with reduction and jigsaw woodcut and linocut and wood engraving. She finds herself drawn to fairies and the female form, as well as to the relationship between humans and their pets, in particular cats and dogs. Born in Germany, she holds dual citizenship and has lived in Edinburgh for most of her life. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2024.

      Anja Sallinger-Carsley

      With a lifelong passion for art and printmaking technologies, Anja has been a full member of Edinburgh Printmakers for 2 years, experimenting with reduction and jigsaw woodcut and linocut and wood engraving.

      She finds herself drawn to fairies and the female form, as well as to the relationship between humans and their pets, in particular cats and dogs. Born in Germany, she holds dual citizenship and has lived in Edinburgh for most of her life. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2024.

    • David Smith David is a recently retired finance executive with 23 years’ experience at CFO/FD level, with his most recent role being at a global health company headquartered in Boston. David has had an international career across the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East, working in both public and private sectors. He has expertise in delivering strong growth both organically and through robust and thoughtful acquisitions. Exposure to operational leadership and IT has also helped to round out his executive outlook and presence. David joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2025.

      David Smith

      David is a recently retired finance executive with 23 years’ experience at CFO/FD level, with his most recent role being at a global health company headquartered in Boston. David has had an international career across the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East, working in both public and private sectors. He has expertise in delivering strong growth both organically and through robust and thoughtful acquisitions. Exposure to operational leadership and IT has also helped to round out his executive outlook and presence. David joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2025.

    • Louise Todd Dr Louise Todd is an Associate Professor of Research in Festival and Event Management, and Public Engagement Lead for the Business School at Edinburgh Napier University. Her research and teaching specialisms are arts and cultural festivals; visual culture; and design in tourism contexts. Before her present role in Higher Education, Louise worked in arts, media, and festivals settings in marketing and communications management roles. She was responsible for the design, management, and marketing of arts, media, entertainment, and educational events, within organisational and festival contexts. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2021.

      Louise Todd

      Dr Louise Todd is an Associate Professor of Research in Festival and Event Management, and Public Engagement Lead for the Business School at Edinburgh Napier University. Her research and teaching specialisms are arts and cultural festivals; visual culture; and design in tourism contexts. Before her present role in Higher Education, Louise worked in arts, media, and festivals settings in marketing and communications management roles. She was responsible for the design, management, and marketing of arts, media, entertainment, and educational events, within organisational and festival contexts. She joined the Edinburgh Printmakers Board in 2021.
