Castle Mills nominated in Scottish Design Awards
We are delighted to announce that Castle Mills has been nominated at the 2020 Scottish Design Awards in the category of 'ARCHITECTURE: Building Re-use'.
The award-winning building and architects Page/Park have already picked up a range of nominations and awards for the incredible transformation that has seen Edinburgh Printmakers become one of Scotland's largest Creative Hubs with one of the biggest Printmaking Studios in Europe at its heart.
"The NBRC building is the only surviving structure from the once large and important nineteenth-century Castle Mills industrial complex. At its height, NBRC employed over three thousand people and produced a vast array of rubber products, including the famous Hunter welly boot."
