Mission
Edinburgh Printmakers provides space, expertise and support for artists to develop their practice, networks and professional experience. We recognise and respond to artists at different stages in their careers, and we value diversity as a driver for artistic excellence and creative risk-taking.

We have a distinctive offer for printmakers and have developed new approaches for both artists and the creative industries, supporting learning, production, presentation and exchange that will have a significant impact on their practice and profile.

Current vacancies

Commercial manager

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the senior management team who has the enthusiasm and ability to drive our ambitious income generation plans. The successful candidate will be a target driven, experienced professional with significant relevant experience, skills and commitment. They will be passionate about the arts and have an entrepreneurial approach. 

Eligibility
Minimum of 5 years business experience within a target-led environment, preferably in the retail or events sector. Strong track record of meeting ambitious commercial targets, ideally in the arts, heritage or related sector. Evidence of generating sales growth and profitability in challenging economic conditions

Salary £30,000, 37.5 hours a week, Tuesday – Saturday

Senior Team Co-ordinator

This is a new support role requiring a high level of initiative, communication and organisational skills. Key tasks include organisational administration, reporting, programme and HR. The role also involves the planning, co-ordination and administration of the Senior Leadership Team, Board and staff meetings.

 
Eligibility
The successful candidate will have some arts administration experience and be ambitious, resourceful and tenacious with the ability to work on their own initiative.
 
Salary £22,000, 37.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday

Freelance Digital Studio Technician

Edinburgh Printmakers is looking to hire a freelance artist with experience of running a laser cutter. The successful applicant will work in our digital studio on digital print and laser cutting projects for Edinburgh Printmakers members, general public and staff and teaching introductory courses in laser cutting.

Eligibility

An arts background is expected, preferably at degree level or HND level at minimum along with good proven previous laser cutting experience and an extensive experience of software for digital imaging and manipulation including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Freelance Tutors

Due to the expansion of our learning programme, Edinburgh Printmakers increasingly have opportunities for professional artists to lead printmaking classes with adults, teenagers, children and community groups. At this point in time we are looking to broaden our staff base of freelance tutors in advance of programming so we are currently looking for notes of interest. 

Eligibility

We are looking for individuals with experience of working professionally as artist educators with demonstrable printmaking experience.

An arts background is expected, preferably at degree level or HND level.
