Invigilators for a Temporary Exhibition at Traquair House
The purpose of this role is to invigilate an ambitious international visual arts exhibition, presented by Beyond Borders and Edinburgh Printmakers at Traquair House in the Scottish Borders this Summer.
Exhibition Description: Beyond Borders Scotland and Edinburgh Printmakers present a ground-breaking new artwork inviting Scots to dig into their past, and discuss and discover their own identity, will be exhibited at Traquair House this year from 26 July to 5 October. ‘The Debatable Land’ by South African painter-poet Peter Sacks takes the form of a 7ft high, 12ft wide triptych, which Sacks describes as “monumental yet intimate”, and will be on show in the early eighteenth century pavilions at Traquair House.
Hours of Work: We are offering daily shifts from 11.30am to 4pm, starting on 26 July and ending on the 05 October. We are looking for several people to cover these shifts and will produce a weekly Rota in discussion with post holders.

Learning & Access Officer
Reports to: Artistic Director
Location: Edinburgh Printmakers, 23 Union Street, EH1 3LR and a range of locations in the Edinburgh and surrounding area
Salary: Grade 18 - £19,230 pro-rata
Contract: 3 Day Wk - 22.5 hrs, 1 year Fixed Term subject to 6 months probation. The post-holder will need to work evenings and weekends and be very flexible to be able to work around artists and communities engaged with who are operating on a voluntary basis.
It is expected that the contract will be renewed as a fixed term 2-3 year contract from Oct 2015 to Summer 2018. From Summer 2018 a permanent post of Access & Learning Officer as part of our core staff team will be advertised. However, this position will not have the same emphasis on Heritage Arts Access and will be more focused on Audience Development and Engagement linked to the core artistic programme.
