FYNS GRAFISKE VÆRKSTED / FUNEN PRINTMAKING STUDIO, ODENSE, DENMARK, 1 Mar 2023

Kateryna Svirgunenko lives in France but is originally from Ukraine. During her stay at Funen Printmaking Studio, Kateryna has been working with monotypes and intaglio printmaking- techniques that she was already familiar with. She has been very concerned with the current situation in her homeland Ukraine. The ability to protect herself and her family is the main topic that she has been exploring artistically.

Kateryna has been very engaged in her printmaking process in Funen Studio. The residency gave her a time to focus completely on her work, and this focus is evident in the work she has produced in the studio.
