Edinburgh Printmakers is exhibiting a selection of work by artists published in conjunction with the organisation’s master printers. Showing at InPrint Bienalle in Hull, the work spans an array of print disciplines and exemplifies contemporary print practice by outstanding British artists.
Selected artists include:
John Bellany, George Charman, Alan Davie, Donovan and Siegel, Katie Dove, Louise Hopkins, Robert Powell, Carol Rhodes, Nana Shiomi and Bronwen Sleigh
Following on from the highly successful pilot show in 2015, InPrint was the pilot exhibition of handmade printmaking that is now a biannual feature of the art landscape in Hull with large International exhibitions across several venues during City of Culture year 2017.
The present exhibition represents a cross section of work from individual professional artists and this year Edinburgh Printmakers has the honour of being chosen as the national workshop to be represented at the bienalle.
Images in the show across Studio Eleven Gallery and Hull School of Art and Design demonstrate creative printmaking across many disciplines including etching, wood and lino block, screen, lithography and other processes.
