Igor Benca (1958) is not only an internationally renowned and versatile artist, but also Dean of the Academy of Arts in Banská, Slovakia. His huge wall installations of mono-prints were developed alongside his intimate mezzotints and etchings. Benca often works in cycles to allow metamorphoses to take place, in which the figure is transformed into multiplied signs. Benca will give a demonstration of his highly personal method of mono-prints, sometimes combined with digital printing.
